This was my first book of 2023, and it was such a fun easy read to start of my 2023 reading challenge! I read this within about 12 hours as it was so easy to flow through and I couldn’t put it down!

It was beautifully written and gave me alot of childhood nostalgia. It brought me right back to being a child in a sweet shop and believing in fairytales and magic and pixie dust,(I still believe in fairytales, magic and pixie dustm but I am unfortunately an adult now!)

It was about a young girl called Lana who was a big bookworm and big fairytale lover. A magic supermarket appears and she falls into different fairytale worlds through this pick and mix isle (very cool!) and turns out she is the one that needs rescuing not the fairytale characters she tries to help.

It gave me alice in wonderland vibes (one of my favourite childhood stories!) through talks of jam tarts and the way she falls through the pick and mix jars into the worlds. It gave me so much childhood nostaliga and was such an easy and fun read! The illustrations were beautiful as well!!!

Highly recommend for any children wanting a fun adevnture or any dyslexic or older readers or wish to be brought back to their childhood!
