Happy New Year everyone! Its 2022 now.
First I should apologise for not posting in a long time and explain why I was away/what I was up to for the past year. Well I finished my degree, I now have a BA photography degree! That took alot as well my final year was a mess with getting ill (of which I am fully recovered a year on and may explain this one seperate one day) and trying to finish and oh yeah that pandemic that isnt going away. Once I finsihed my degree I was focused on job hunting. which is very impossible so if you are a person to achieve a dream job welldone. I currently work at a local hotel as a food and beverage assistant. Hence another reason I haven’t had time or energy to write until the new year as hospitiality in the run up to christmas is very hard and busy but now functions and events and with that my shifts have gone down alot it means I have time to do things like write on here now.
Yes that’s what I have been up to for the past year or so and apologises again for not writing on here until now. Moving on it is a new year and with that comes new goals, plans of which I thought I would write and share on my blog. Mainly because if I share and upload my goals and plans for the new year, mentally I feel I have to stick to them more then if I just have them to myself.
My New Years Goals and Plans:
- To build my portfilio and really get out in the world of photography in whatever form that may be. hopefully paid a decent wage and loving whatever I end up doing.
- To read more books. Okay this is one everyone will have on their lists but seriously need to, i barely read 5 books last year and thats not good. My aim is to read 2 books a month which is realistic as it takes me about 2 weeks to finish a book on average. I will have a big boost in reading motivation when I go back to my opticians and get new glasses this month as I think this was a reason I wasnt very motivated as my colours with irlens had changed so need new glasses.
- To move out by the end of the year. Okay I love my parents and that they are letting me live at home at the age of 23 but I will be 24 this year and need to get a place of my own even if its a tiny small studio flat somewhere. Also with this comes wanting to get a dog of my own which I can’t do at the minute so move out and get a dog by the end of the year, or at least be well on the way with plans and finding a place etc.
- 4. To get a social life. I am 23 now and lately have been feeling very lonely. need some friends as I lost my close friends right before the pandemic and preferably find someone to date/have a relationship with.
- To get healthier. Fed up of having health issues and taking meds everyday, want to cut these down to just minimal medication a day please and no problems healthwise this year please.
- To write more. On my Blog, on my short story (hell found me) or just in a diary) I just miss writing.
I think that’s all for now I will check in with myself/my blog at the middle of the year and maybe change some or see what I have achieved. What are you new years resolutions/goals/plans? leave them in the comments 🙂
Lets have a much better year then 2021 and say goodbye to covid this year! Happy New Year everyone!
